What are the requirements for admission to the Institut-Domi?
There are no criteria or entry requirements to start your journey at the Institut-Domi.
However, you must have completed compulsory schooling, and a solid grounding in mathematics is recommended.
We offer tailor-made courses in the various subjects so that you feel at ease before you start your course.
Constant rigor and motivation are important.
How much revenue is generated each year?
There are two start dates a year; you can begin at the Domi Institute from August 10 to September 30 or from January 10 to February 28
There are two sessions set by the SEFRI which are February and August.
How long does the course last?
The duration of the training depends on you.
There are three variants:
- 12 months for people who have passed the 1st part-time exam or who wish to repeat the 2nd part-time exam.
- 24 months for learners who can commit more or less 25h/week and already have some knowledge, especially of languages (history, geography, biology, chemistry and physics) and a certain fluency in languages.
- 36 months for a course of around 20 hours/week, more accessible to everyone.
How much does training cost?

What are the payment terms?
Le paiement peut s’effectuer en plusieurs fois selon le type de service choisi. Il y a possibilité de le régler mensuellement, trimestriellement, semestriellement ou annuellement. Vous pouvez aussi opter pour un paiement unique.
Are there any subsidies or grants available?
Each canton(Vaud, Valais, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Geneva, Jura) has either subsidies or grants.
Whether or not these grants are awarded depends on each canton and the situation of each candidate.
There are also private foundations that can cover part of the costs, in the form of scholarships.
In some cantons, theDI also contributes financially to this training.
Who can register for the Maturité exam?
Anyone who is able to travel to the examination sites to take the tests.
The only requirement imposed by the Federal Maturity Commission is that you must have
reached the age of 18 by the time you sit the second part of the exam.
However, depending on your status (elite athlete/artist, date of birth or other), there may be exceptions.
How much does it cost to register for the Maturité exam?
Registration and examination fees must be paid before the examination begins.
They are specified in the Ordinance on Fees and Allowances for the Swiss Matura Examination (172.044.13), issued by Berne, and are listed below:
Single tax
- At registration (for all exams): CHF 200.00
Matura examination fee
- Examination per part (first or second) : CHF 450.00
- Matura work: CHF 100.00
What are the requirements for passing the Maturité exam?
First of all, it’s important to know that you have two attempts at each exam.
To pass the Swiss Matura exam, there are three parameters that must be absolutely met.
These points are linked to each other:
- No more than four branches below grade 4
- All “negative” scores (below average) are less than or equal to 7 points.
- A minimum of 84 points is achieved.
Do you offer study support?
Yes.
In addition to the support you receive at the Institut-Domi, we work with a school specialized in coaching and distance learning (the Benk School).
Their services are not included with the Institut-Domi registration, but a discount is obtained.
Accounting diploma
What are the requirements for admission to the Institut-Domi?
There are no prerequisites for starting this accounting course.
Our course is aimed at anyone wishing to understand the challenges of financial management and have the accounting skills to manage them; however, anyone already familiar with numbers will find it easier.
How long does the course last?
It generally takes between fifteen and eighteen months.
The duration varies according to your schedule, the number of hours you devote to the program and your level of basic knowledge.
Thanks to its experience, the Institut-Domi can adapt to all possibilities.
What is included in remote support?
- A two-year bachelor’s degree for concrete progress during your training
- A privileged relationship with the teacher thanks to personalized corrections
- Continuous access to methodology and past scores.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, whatever course you choose, you can pay for your course in monthly instalments, up to 18 months for the full course.
